The Vennesla veterinary practice (Vennesla Dyreklinikk) consists of the main veterinary clinic in the town of Vennesla, and a branch surgery in Hornnes which is just south of Evje. One of the veterinarians also carries out visits to equine patients.
The main clinic in Vennesla is accredited by the Norwegian Veterinary Association. Approximately 10% of Norway's clinics have this accreditation. At present (March 2012) we are one of two clinics in the Agder region of Norway, and on the coastline between Stavanger in the West and Sandefjord in the East, that are accredited.
The main clinic in Vennesla is open from 8.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays & Thursdays, and from 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The branch surgery in Hornnes is normally open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., or by appointment.
The clinic participates in a duty rota that covers evenings and weekends.
We encourage owners to make an appointment first, but we accept "drop-in" patients if we have time available. We recommend that you ring the clinic first to make an appointment.
If you are a tourist in Norway, please feel free to contact us about the Norwegian legislation on the import and export of pets.
The telephone number to the main clinic is (+47) 38 15 56 00. The branch surgery can be reached on (+47) 90 68 95 10.
We will do our best to make you feel welcome at the Vennesla veterinary practice.
